The Women Premier League (WPL) second leg resumes on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st August with six matches on the cards.

After a disastrous start in the league this season league newcomers Baringo County Starlets who are in Zone B will welcome on form Vihiga Queens who also joined the premier league this season at Eldama Ravine Stadium on Saturdayfrom 1pm EAT.

Other newcomers in the league, Nyamira County Starlets who finished third in the first leg will face off zone leaders Oserian Ladies at Sironga Stadium from 1pm. Oserian Ladies who finished as second runners up last season are leading the Zone B with an unbeaten record and it will be a tall order for the James Marwanga-coached side to go past the Flower Girls in this fixture.

Mumias-based Wadadia will welcome Eldoret Falcons at Mumias Complex from 1pm.Eldoret Falcons had a rough ride in the first leg under the guidance of John Mukhwana after picking one win and a couple of draws but the coach is confidence after acquiring the services of some players before the second leg.

The Zone A matches will be played on Sunday with Makolanders on the road to Mombasa to face last season’s first runners’ up Spedag FC at Mombasa Sports Club from 1pm.

The last time the teams met in the first leg, Spedag FC bagged the maximum points following their 2-1 victory at Camp Toyoyo Grounds.

In another interesting match of the weekend, defending champions Thika Queens will be home to high flying Mombasa Olympic at the Thika Sub-County Stadium from 1pm.This will be first time the two sides will meet after missing the first leg fixture.The champions are yet to pick a defeat this season in the league.

There will be only one match in Nairobi where Soccer Queens will entertain Soccer Sisters at Camp Toyoyo Grounds from3pm. The last time the two sides met in the first leg,the former picked a 2-1 win.
