Nairobi, Kenya: The stalemate on who is the best fit to carry the Azimio la Umoja ticket for Nairobi will soon be settled after Jubilee and ODM are done with their  National Delegates Conference meetings that will culminate in a joint session.
President Uhuru’s Jubilee party and his handshake partner Raila Odinga’s ODM are scheduled to have their NDCs this week.
It has been established that the two leaders are set to hold talks on the future of Nairobi county even as gubernatorial aspirants continue to battle for the Azimio la Umoja ticket.
It is expected that the two parties will most likely unveil their preferred candidates for the Nairobi seat.
In ODM, only Tim Wanyonyi has declared interest in the seat while Jubilee has attracted interest from Richard Ngatia, Ann Kananu, and Agnes Kagure.

Ngatia and Wanyonyi have emerged as the frontrunners in the race and one of them is set to be picked to battle it out with the Kenya Kwanza candidate.
There has been pressure on the two leaders ( Uhuru and Raila) to make clear their intentions on how to select the Azimio la Umoja gubernatorial candidate.
President Uhuru is said to be backing Richard Ngatia who is the President of the Kenya Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) despite resistance from a section of leaders.
Recent polls have ranked Ngatia ahead of the pack and pundits have opined that he is likely going to be carrying the day ahead of the August poll.
The rivalry for the Nairobi seat is expected to play out in the NDCs that are set to culminate in a joint rally where ODM leader Raila Odinga will be declared the presidential flag bearer.
A notice by the ODM secretary-general stated that the meeting will be held at Nyayo stadium.
“Please take notice, pursuant to article 7.2 as reading together with article 7.5.3 of the Orange Democratic movement constitution, that the National delegates convention shall be held on the 25th and 26th February 2022 at the National Stadium from 9:00 Am,” the Notice by Sifuna reads.
Jubilee vice-chairman David Murathe had announced last week they will have a twin NDC alongside ODM that will culminate in announcing Raila at Nyayo National Stadium as the joint presidential candidate.
