Kinshasa, DRC: Luanda is set to become the epicentre of Africa’s infrastructure transformation as it hosts the highly anticipated Infrastructure Financing Summit from 23–24 October 2025.
Organised by the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) and the African Union Commission (AUC) in collaboration with the Government of Angola, the summit promises to be a landmark event in advancing the continent’s infrastructure ambitions under Agenda 2063.
With Africa’s infrastructure financing gap exceeding $100 billion annually, the summit is a timely response to mobilise the $1.3 trillion needed for transformative projects like the Continental Power Systems Master Plan.

It will bring together Heads of State, investors, and stakeholders to secure funding for pivotal cross-border initiatives spanning energy, transportation, and digital networks.
“This is a decisive step towards connecting Africa for trade, innovation, and prosperity,” said President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, Angola’s Head of State and current AU Chairperson.
Key highlights include curated deal rooms, investment pitches, and the integration of sustainable energy solutions to bridge the energy gap for over 600 million Africans. Discussions will also explore the role of digital infrastructure and AI in driving industrialisation and financial inclusion, reflecting Africa’s readiness to lead in the global digital economy.
The summit underscores Africa’s leadership on the global stage, aligning with initiatives like South Africa’s G20 Presidency to prioritise just climate finance and green investments.
