Kenya went to the polls on 8th of August, 2017 amidst high tension and anxiety amongst the voters.Each voter was anxious to see their preferred candidates win.

Amidst the worry and apprehension in the country, the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) was tasked was under immense pressure to tally all the votes from the 290 Tallying Centers and announce the winners of the various positions that were being contested.

The provisional results were projected on the Tallying Center screens in Bomas and relayed by the TV stations. This was countered by the Opposition led by the National Super Alliance party raising the alarm through a press briefing indicating that forms 34 A were never produced. This was taken up by the IEBC and promised that all forms would be uploaded on their portal.

Barely a day after the elections , again the Opposition went on live Tv announces that the IEBC Server had been Hacked into and this raised serious questions amongst the International Ovbservers, the Parties and amongst Kenyans at large. When the results

This was later disputed by IEBC in contradictory statements that the Server might have been hacked and they failed and there was no hacking.

In the midst of all anxiety and heightened tension the IEBC Chairman, Wafula Chebukati did announce the results finally putting Uhuru Kenyatta in the lead with 8,203,290 votes while Opposition Leader Raila Odinga garnering 6,762,224 votes.

It was later rejected by the Opposition Party NASA.
