Mogadishu, Somalia: A FIFA delegation and three African former football professionals—Samuel Eto’o, Jay-Jay Okocha, and Emmanuel Adebayor—arrived in Mogadishu, where they were welcomed by Somali government officials and Somali Football Federation leaders.

Their arrival is part of promoting peace, youth integration initiatives, and developing Somali sports where the Sports fans and youth lined the streets to welcome them.

During their stay in Mogadishu, they will participate in various sports events and activities.

The FIFA delegation is also expected to discuss the future of football in Somalia, including potential investments in infrastructure and training facilities to support the growth of the sport at all levels.

As part of their mission, they will visit schools and community centers to promote the importance of education alongside sports, encouraging young people to pursue their dreams both on and off the field.

 

The visit has generated significant media attention, and many hope it will mark a new chapter for Somali football, inspiring a new generation of players and fostering a sense of pride in their national identity. 

The delegation’s efforts are seen as a crucial step towards rebuilding the country’s sporting culture and promoting peace through shared passions.
